Vegetarian Fare to Satisfy Your Tastebuds and Wallet at The Green Wok Vegetarian Bistro

My friends know that I am always on the lookout for healthier food options and of course, healthier restaurant places to go to. By healthier, I mean plant-based food options on the menu and restaurants that offer those kinds of dishes. Discovering these places in my area is always exciting for me. I have discovered another one in Green Wok Vegetarian Bistro.

An instagram pic I posted showing the delicious dishes you can enjoy at Green Wok.

I had visited this bistro a year ago and had been back recently to enjoy their updated menu. Their dishes are still delicious; the portions are satisfying and their prices are still wallet-friendly.

G Stuff Healing Crystal Salt: My Personal Tooth Fairy

Taking care of our teeth and our oral health in general is a major part of maintaining our overall health. For most people, their dentist serve as their personal tooth fairy to ensure that they maintain healthy teeth and gums. However, it is at home that we should diligently do all the things we need to do to maintain our health including brushing our teeth regularly.

G Stuff Healing Crystal Salt is my personal tooth fairy at home.

I go to a dentist too but at home I rely on G Stuff Healing Crystal Salt to keep my teeth and gums clean and healthy. I consider this stuff to be my own personal tooth fairy and using it has given me good results.

Learning How to Cook Healthy at The Vegetarian Kitchen

My experience on eating vegan and now vegetarian has give me a lot of health benefits. I do cook but most of my dishes are substitutions for the meaty dishes that I usually eat at home and usually using just tofu. I could never get the same taste I get in restaurants and their vegetarian dishes. That's why I have always wanted to attend a cooking class to hone my cooking skills.

Dishes cooked during the class resulted in this delicious buffet which we ate after class.

Luckily,  I caught the announcement of The Vegetarian Kitchen about their cooking class and came to attend their Basic Vegetarian Cooking Class last Sunday.

Healthy Skin with Human Heart Nature's 100% Natural Healthy Lotion

Aside from trying to eat healthy to feel good, all-natural skincare products are also a good way to keep ourselves healthy on the outside. Human Heart Nature is one company that provides these kinds of products and as a fan of theirs, I have been trying out a lot of their products.

HHN 100% Natural Healthy Lotion in Powder Love scent (Php199.75 for 200ml)

A lotion that has become my favorite recently is their 100% Natural Healthy Lotion, not just for the health benefits but also for the addicting smell without the addicting chemicals, of course.

Kimchi and Ice Cream Lunch

A mentally (or psychologically) stressful meeting can make one really hungry. Being the foodies that we were (we do love to eat), we also had to satisfy not just our stomachs but also our sense of sight and smell. For today, we not only had a filling lunch, we also enjoyed a delicious dessert.

Kimchi and Bulgogi Bibimbap (Php185.00)

We wanted to get ourselves something hearty and really filling for lunch and from prior experience, The Clubhouse at Robinson's Magnolia was the perfect place to enjoy that. The Clubhouse offers a lot of food choices from international cuisine and puts a Pinoy twist to them. I was on a Korean and Japanese food craving so their Kimchi and Bulgogi Bibimbap (Php185.00) caught my fancy.

Be Free from Dandruff with "Flakes, Release Me" from De Boer Organiques

Ever since I started using natural and organic products, I have been rid of many beauty and health issues. One major issue that I had then was having thin and brittle hair. But with the use of organic shampoo, my hair started to grow stronger and longer at a faster rate. Plus, with the helpf of an organic scap treatment product, I was able to grow my hair even thicker.

However, one recurring issue that I have been trying for so long to get rid off was seasonal dandruff. Seasonal because this usually becomes a problem during the hot and cold months: summer when my scalp becomes too oily and the "ber" months when my scalp becomes too dry.

Lunch in the Middle of the Sea at Manlawi Sandbar, Caramoan

I had recently gone on a summer escapade with some friends to escape the summer heat and the general stress of our daily lives to have some fun, experience new things and hopefully, come back refreshed and energized to face our daily responsibilities.

Our first destination was Caramoan, the island-hopping paradise where we were sure to get lots of sea and sun and sky. Of course, we brought along lots of sunblock because we had no desire to end up looking like toast in the middle of this paradise. (We ended up darker than we anticipated anyway but no regrets!)

City Food Picks at The Magnolia Residences - Part 1

The Universe does respond to requests. I've been checking out condo units just to get a feel for condo living and of course to find something that would be my inspiration for the future.

I had also been inactive in blogger events for awhile so it was truly a welcome surprise to be invited to The Magnolia Residences City Food Picks. I was sure there was going to be food involved but to get to see their condo units too meant that I was hitting 2 goals with this 1 event.

New Food Treats in Carnivale, Taguig

A couple of weeks ago, me and a friend were invited to the launch of Carnivale, the latest food market venue at McKinley Hill, Taguig. After some difficult navigation hazards to get there, we finally walked the last few meters to The Venice Piazza Mall inside McKinley Hill where we found the food market abuzz with a lot of people.

A lot of us bloggers we're late getting there but we we're still able to take pictures of the food and get to taste the food thanks to the generous Ian who attended to all of us bloggers. I was also glad to get to know new bloggers and see familiar faces among those who attended.

Natural Sore Throat Remedy: Ilog Maria Honey Propolis Throat Spray

It's the "brrrr" months and cough and colds are common especially since our weather recently has been driving us crazy with chilly mornings and warm afternoons or sunny mornings and rainy afternoons.

The embarrassment of having to excuse yourself to indulge in a coughing fit or to not have time to excuse yourself at all, is just as inconvenient as the coughing fit itself. Add to that the scratchy throat and watery eyes as evidence of your "barking" episode and people suddenly move their distance when communicating with you.

Homey Ambiance and Taste @ Lola Idang's, Kamuning

We're experimenting on a new work schedule, early morning and then done by 12 noon. The freedom to go anywhere after lunch was a good perk, but the lack of sleep made us too tired to do anything else but get lunch and then get a ride home.

The cozy setup by the door.

However, since we weren't pressed for time to get back to work, we had the advantage of looking for a place to go to lunch at our leisure.

It was a rainy day when we decided to get a taste of some comfort food at Lola Idang's in Kamuning.

Fun and Breezy Ambiance + Good Food at Mang Inato, Palawan

My friend and me recently went on a business trip to Puerto Princesa, Palawan. Since it was work-related, we really didn't have much time, or the budget, to go around and explore the popular tourist sites. But we did get a chance to check out some not-so-known food places that was a good break from the hotel food and fast food items we've been gobbling up for 3 weeks. (How we survived that? Well we had to, but that's another story.)

The interesting entrance to Mang Inato.

It was our last day at Palawan and we thought we'd go home with absolutely no new food places to enjoy in this place far from home. Our chattiness has served us lots of times in the past and it got us some answers this time too.

Novuhair - Nature's Answer to Hair Loss

Me and my friend recently attended the launch of Novuhair's newest and improved products and we learned a lot about the brand. First off, I was surprised to learn that Novuhair is actually a Filipino brand. All this time I thought this was a foreign brand.

Novuhair Ad with the new 3-in-1 set and endorsers

I have always been interested in local brands that provide customers with the benefits of organic products and another surprise for me was that Novuhair is not only organic, it also made use of local materials for the ingredients in its products such as malunggaygarlic, ginger, aloe vera and of course, virgin coconut oil.

100% Natural Purifying Facial Scrub from Human Heart Nature

One of my missions when I go shopping is to look for products that are natural and safe to use. That means no chemicals as much as possible and also environment-friendly. So I was glad to have discovered Human Heart Nature about a year ago and I have been using a lot of their products ever since.

Facial scrubs are one good way to keep skin healthy and Human Heart Nature's 100% Natural Purifying Facial Scrub (50ml tube is P104.75) is a natural product that I have tried and am still using.

Yogurt Delights from Hacienda Macalawan

Update: It's been a pretty busy week (I know it's always my excuse, but it really was extra busy this week!) so I haven't gotten around to posting anything. But here's me trying to make up for it with this post, and maybe another one tomorrow. We'll see. :-)

Most people want a sweet dessert after their meal. I appreciate dessert too but I can't say I have an active sweet tooth. I found out however, that I love yogurt and yogurt shakes the first time I tasted one in a Persian restaurant and I've been craving for them ever since.

Giga Nature's Therapy - Scalp Treatment

Hectic work days are upon me once again (not that it's a rare phenomenon in my line of work) so that's why I've been out of commission on maintaining this blog. But I'm determined to get back to writing and sharing some of the things I've tried that may benefit my friends and readers of this blog. So of course, a review of the products I've tried, tested, and now love (or disliked) will be part of this blog of mine.

The cold weather has me suffering from a dry scalp which is annoyingly itchy at times. This also causes dandruff in some areas which is a very unpleasant thing to deal with. So I made my rounds of stores that sold organic products and I found the Giga store in SM North EDSA Annex. I looked at their products and I found this one with a name that promised to be the solution to my scalp issues.
