Pizza Morning

On a lazy Thursday morning, I was craving for pizza. We have a pizza shop near our place but it was raining and I didn't want to go out in the cold. So I decided to make pizza my own at home but the easy way - without the dough.

Luckily, we had some Gardenia bread, some tomatoes and cheese. I also bought parsley from my last grocery trip so I had something green to top my pizza off.

Late Dinner @ Sancho

A month ago, a friend and me attended our guild's general assembly. It was a fun meeting and we even won prizes.

After the event, we decided to get dinner in one of our favorite foodie places - Sancho in Teacher's Village. We like that the small resto is convenient and has a cozy atmosphere especially on rainy nights and the food is delicious and affordable.

Fruit Magic Vegetarian Pizza and Smoothie Combo

Running errands in the middle of the hot afternoon sun can be quite exhausting and makes one really go hungry. So after making my round of errands, I was looking for a mall to get into for some air conditioning and some snacks.

Shopwise branch near the area was a welcome sight and I was happy to just browse around the grocery store as I enjoyed the cooler air. After getting some respite from the heat, I had to satisfy my hunger next.

100% Natural Purifying Facial Scrub from Human Heart Nature

One of my missions when I go shopping is to look for products that are natural and safe to use. That means no chemicals as much as possible and also environment-friendly. So I was glad to have discovered Human Heart Nature about a year ago and I have been using a lot of their products ever since.

Facial scrubs are one good way to keep skin healthy and Human Heart Nature's 100% Natural Purifying Facial Scrub (50ml tube is P104.75) is a natural product that I have tried and am still using.

My Little Korean Treat

With anime, we glimpsed the culture of Japan and all the cute and functional stuff that await one in Daizo and Saizen and Japan Home. Now that K-pop has landed on our shores, bb creams and several Korean cosmetic brands are also now in our malls and of course, just like Japan before, Korean food has also acquired an audience here.

I remember a couple of times when I was surprised to find a huge crowd in the Trinoma activity center with a lot of girls holding placards in Korean. Turns out they were fans of boy bands who visited the country to perform for them. The fans were really enthusiastic and appreciative of their idols.

Sweet Treats with Friends

Just went through my archive of pictures and I found that I have had a lot of opportunities to indulge in sweets during foodie time with friends. I'm not such a sucker for sweets.

I've never really had a sweet tooth but I do recall finishing off a whole tablespoon of white sugar as dessert when I was a child.

Missing Taco Bell

I'm cooped up at home because of work but also because the rainy weather makes me too lazy to go outside. So I have to content myself with imagining what I'd be doing when I go to the nearest mall. Of course, the first thing that comes to mind is to find somewhere to eat.

Whenever I go to Trinoma and I don't know what I want to eat or where I want to eat, I usually opt for Taco Bell. It's also become our gang's meeting place whenever we get together. And since I have the pictures, here's some of my fave Taco Bell eats.

Cat(s) Out of the Bag

There were two kitties who always loved to play.

One morning they woke up so early that even the humans were still happily rested in their beds.

Their mommy was away enjoying the plants in the garden all by herself before her kitties occupy her time for the rest of the day.

A Rainy Night Dinner @ My Thai

I've been cooped up at home for several days now ever since I started working on my freelance projects. So I was quite determined to finally get out of the house and meet up with long unseen friends. We had previously decided to eat at My Thai in Timog and so yesterday, we finally meet up.

The skies were getting dark as I traveled and as luck would have it, when we finally got off to walk to the building, the rain was at its craziest and our feet were wet and we were cold when we finally got to the resto. I thought I was going to suffer from the cold air conditioning when we got in and I didn't even bring a jacket but the room temperature was just alright, whew!

Finding Motivation

Haven't written for a long time because I could not find the time. But that's going to change soon. I've been trying to find a new direction in life recently as I'd grown quite restless with my current situation.

I don't know what you would call this at this point in life because I'm not in the mid-life crisis stage yet but I'm happy to report that sunshine is filtering through the cloud of confusion one bright and warm beam at a time. So for now, I want to share with you some inspiring words from Mr. Will Smith himself.

Yogurt Delights from Hacienda Macalawan

Update: It's been a pretty busy week (I know it's always my excuse, but it really was extra busy this week!) so I haven't gotten around to posting anything. But here's me trying to make up for it with this post, and maybe another one tomorrow. We'll see. :-)

Most people want a sweet dessert after their meal. I appreciate dessert too but I can't say I have an active sweet tooth. I found out however, that I love yogurt and yogurt shakes the first time I tasted one in a Persian restaurant and I've been craving for them ever since.

Bonding Over Cake

It's the new year and when I look at this blog, I had only 21 posts last year. That's a sad statistic for someone who wants to call herself a writer. Well, I am called that at my work but I don't get paid to write blog posts there, so you get what I mean. That's why one of the things I want to work on this new year is to be able to write on this blog on a regular basis.

I'm going to have to do this with baby steps. As a start, I should be able to manage 2 blog posts in a week.  Yup, very conservative of me but I'm just being realistic. So here goes, my first post for this year. It's from my reunion over dinner with a friend whom I had not seen for quite some time. We bonded over life stories, particularly work, and of course food.
