KFC Supreme Bowl: Chicken Ala King

Attending a meeting that takes over your break time leaves one very ravenous and craving for something delicious and filling. Unfortunately for me, my desires remain unfulfilled so I can only be content with whatever I had for dinner and figure out how to curb my cravings. I think writing a post about it might help, so here goes.

This is what I've been craving for. Actually, it's become one of my KFC favorites ever since I tasted it when it was newly offered.

Giga Nature's Therapy - Scalp Treatment

Hectic work days are upon me once again (not that it's a rare phenomenon in my line of work) so that's why I've been out of commission on maintaining this blog. But I'm determined to get back to writing and sharing some of the things I've tried that may benefit my friends and readers of this blog. So of course, a review of the products I've tried, tested, and now love (or disliked) will be part of this blog of mine.

The cold weather has me suffering from a dry scalp which is annoyingly itchy at times. This also causes dandruff in some areas which is a very unpleasant thing to deal with. So I made my rounds of stores that sold organic products and I found the Giga store in SM North EDSA Annex. I looked at their products and I found this one with a name that promised to be the solution to my scalp issues.

Half A Sub for P99 @ Subway

A friend and I came across this announcement of Subway offering half a sub for only P99.00 in one of the online magazines we frequently visit. I had not eaten there before and she highly recommends it so off we went to Subway (SM North EDSA Annex) after work.

Different subs were offered for P99.00 each day. I think we went there on a Tuesday and the menu was chicken and ham. But when we ordered, we were informed that they were out of chicken and we didn't mind so we went through with our order.

The Long Bridge Across The Long Highway

This is starting to look like a food blog and it's alright with me but I didn't intend for this blog to be just about food. I want to share a lot of interesting stuff I find around me and they might be mostly food but not always. So I'll be posting some random stuff I've taken pictures of from time to time like this one right here.

I went to buy some of my favorite organic products one weekend and I had to cross this very long bridge to meet a friend afterwards. It was about 4 in the afternoon and I was alone on the bridge so I took a couple of pictures right when I was in the middle before I continued walking on to the other side.

One Town, One Product Exhibit @ SM Megatrade Hall

Office field work is a rare occasion for me so it was a refreshing break from desk work to go to an exhibit in Megamall. The exhibit was called the One Town, One Product Exhibit or O.T.O.P. for short.

This project was one of the initiatives of the former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo. The goal of this project is to provide livelihood for all the regions producing different products and to highlight each region's unique produce or craft.

Colorful Fried Rice

Going grocery shopping isn't always easy for me. Sometimes, I tend to buy more than I can cook in a week. This leaves me with a lot of left over ingredients that I don't know how to use up.

This was my predicament one Sunday. I had left over veggies composed of green peas, corm and chopped carrots. I also had left over rice and some luncheon meat from a previous dinner.

Angel + Fish @ The Old Spaghetti House - The Block

My craving for pasta or pizza was missing one day and so when a friend and I decided to sit down at the Old Spaghetti House for dinner, I went straight to the non-pasta menu.

I was crossing my fingers as I pointed out my order of Pepper Crusted Fish Fillet while my friend ordered the Sun Dried Pesto Angel Hair Pasta. After all, a ruined meal because of a bad food choice is unsettling and tragic in so many ways.

Adele Sets Fire to The Rain

One of my favorite songs to hum to these days is Rolling in The Deep by Adele. Because the song sounded so good, I was curious to hear more songs from this singer. I didn't know she had a lot of popular songs already. I'm not much of a music person so I was amazed that almost all her songs that I listened too were also good.

Here's one that I loved and one of the reasons I like it was because at that time, we we're experiencing stormy weather and I couldn't go out.

Friday Night Out @ Gerry's Grill - Congressional

I seldom get to go out to eating places that are not near my travel route or not inside a mall. So when we we're invited to a free dinner at Gerry's Grill, I gladly obliged.

I didn't regret the decision as our little party enjoyed a lot of laughs over some delicious food. And since this blog is mostly about food, here are some of the yummy things we stuffed ourselves with from the menu.

Spam & Eggs Breakfast

I'm a busy, busy girl and sometimes breakfast becomes a luxury only rarely indulged. I know this is not good for my health, so one time, I decided to indulge for my breakfast by adding something I've been craving for on my grocery list: SPAM. This is delicious and expensive so it was indeed an indulgence for me.

The next morning, I could not wait to taste my slice of spam and of course my other favorite, scrambled eggs. I fried and I assembled my breakfast with gusto. Luckily, I had enough self-control to snap a picture before I devoured it. Here's my reason for drooling that morning.

What Are You Craving For?

Sometimes, I'm craving for something but I can't quite decide just what I want. I have all these thoughts of different food and their tastes in my mind but I can't choose just one.

The next one seems as good as the next after it or the one before it. Plus, the inventory seems to be endless so I just stop and think of other stuff for a while and concentrate on something like this video.

Mini Pizza from Left Over Ingredients

I can't believe I haven't written anything here for more than a month. Just shows how busy I am with other stuff right now. Stuff that I will be posting here as soon as my schedule clears up a little. In the mean time, here's a little something I whipped up from left overs from a previous meal.

Sunday it was and at noon I found myself all hungry and feeling lazy. So I went through the food stuffs and saw some left overs. Hunger lighted a spark of creativity in me I guess, because I came up with this little treat.

Onion Rings and a Burger in Place of Transformers

We were sure there was going to be long lines to the cinemas for Transformers. After all, the movie was a popular franchise and it was the weekend. So with our patience ready, we went in line and waited for our turn.

Turns out, there were no more tickets for the earlier schedules and the only schedule available was at 11PM. No way were we going to wait the whole night to get our turn to enjoy this movie. So we decided to find something else to do and when you're in a mall going on a food trip is a natural alternative.

Me Time on a Rainy Day

Work was suspended at 2pm today due to heavy rains so I was able to go home early. Since I had nothing else to do and I didn't want to sleep yet, I decided to see updates on my Facebook account and watch some videos online.

The first half of the poem Happiness by Jorge Luis Borges. Read in full here.

Usually, I would watch episodes or movies of my favorite anime shows or music videos, but tonight I wanted to go back to my college days. So I searched for a video of one of Jorge Luis Borge's poems.

Flavored Yogurt @ Golden Spoon

I love almost anything delicious and healthy; almost because I must admit I am a picky and a moody eater. Luckily, I'm also adventurous even when it comes to food. I'll try something once and even twice if I can take it but if I don't like it then at least I didn't deprive myself from tasting what could be a potentially delicious food treat.

Now yogurt is definitely healthy and delicious especially with the various toppings you could pile on it. Me and my yogurt-loving friend (well most of my friends like it actually) went to the mall one day and after a lot of walking and window shopping, we decided to snack on this cool treat.

Bonsai Sighting

A friend and I meet up one weekend to try out some mineral make-up. I had recommended a brand to her and she wanted to try it out. She's still trying it out for now, so I'll post more on that as soon as I have updates from her.

What I want to show are the bonsais we saw at SM North EDSA. We went there for some snacks after buying some MMU (mineral make-up) and when we got there, all these bonsais were on display.

Ms. J and Nigel Barker @ Trinoma

On one of our dinner nights at Trinoma, me and a friend were unintentionally late for dinner because we chanced upon some popular personalities being interviewed in the activity center. This was situated right in the middle of the mall complex so everyone saw what was going on.

Ms. J at Trinoma
Ms. J wore a school-girl skirt which was above the knee with high socks.

We took a look and our eyes were glued for awhile as Ms. J and Nigel Barker of America's Next Top Model strutted their stuff on stage together with 4 lucky audience members who were requested to work the ramp and pose like models. We were grinning all this time and I totally forgot to take pictures of the happening.

A Memorable Dessert in Baguio

Still on Baguio, one of my companions celebrated his birthday on the day of our arrival to watch the Panagbenga Festival, so to celebrate we had lunch at one of the restaurants along Session Road. I don't remember the name of the resto but I do remember that their desert was delicious.

We also enjoyed their main dishes of course but the desert was the most memorable to my palate. Here's a closer look at what's inside each of the bowls.

Baguio Street Food

I went with some friends to the Panagbenga Baguio Festival last February. We arrived there at around 6am and the parade starts at 8am so we had very little time to get there from our rest house.

Finding and then waiting for a vacant space in the full-packed parking lots also took some time so we couldn't get a leisurely breakfast at one of the popular places.

Dinner Date @ BigOli

I'm supposed to be doing something else entirely but I'm upset so I can't work on it at all, not to mention I'm too tired to think straight. But I'm writing this post because I want to end my day with good memories. And one thing that cheers me up is the thought and taste of a pasta dish.

Ah pasta! It's my go-to food when I'm craving for something but I don't know what. So I'm posting pics of some of my favorite dishes in one of my favorite pasta places - BigOli.

Pasta Cravings Satisfied

Yey! My first post for this blog. It's been such a long time when I last wrote anything on a blog so I've decided to share some thoughts on one of my all time favorite food groups -- Pasta!

Photo from one of my favorite blogs with this spaghetti meat sauce recipe.

Work was pretty much stressful last Wednesday, not to mention that I spent half of my morning going back and forth from home to my uncle's condo. Then in the afternoon, I had to attend a not so stimulating meeting.
